Shailesh Lodha has been grabbing all the eyeballs ever since rumours about him leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah surfaced on the internet. While the actor and the production house have remained tight-lipped about the rumours, gossip mills suggest that he was unhappy with his contract that prohibited him for taking up other projects.
It is being said that Shailesh Lodha is not shooting for Taarak Mehta since the past one month. Despite his absence, the makers have managed to retain the viewership of the sitcom.
While ardent viewers of TMKOC are eagerly waiting for Shailesh's return, Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal has opened up about his rumoured exit from the show. The 54-year-old, in an interaction with media, spoke about the speculations over Shailesh's exit from Taarak Mehta. He said that his on-screen friend might return to the show.
"Thodi difficulty toh hoti hai when they leave the show, of course as a rhythm is set with your co-stars, but never say never Shailesh Bhai Aa bhi sakte hain wapas," Dilip was quoted as saying by ETimes.
We hope Shailesh makes a comeback to the show as we love seeing the bond between Jethalal and Taarak Mehta.
Amid the conjecture about Shailesh Lodha's exit, the makers are busy planning the grand comeback of Dayaben. Disha Vakani, who played the role of nine long years, won't return to the show. Speculations are rife that Asit Modi has roped in Rakhi Vijan to essay the new Dayaben in the show. While we are waiting for an official announcement, the production house is chalking out plans to re-introduce the prime character in style.
Taarak Mehta, which was launched in July 2008, will complete 14 successful years next month. At a time when shows go off air within a few months, the sitcom has aired over 3000 episodes. TMKOC enjoys a significant fan following across different age groups.
