Kawasaki W175 India launch tomorrow

Kawasaki W175 will be launched in the Indian market tomorrow (September 25th). The company has also teased the motorcycle several times on its social media handles in the last few weeks. The new W175 will be introduced as the most affordable motorcycle in the company's line-up which will set its sight on bikes from brands like Royal Enfield, Jawa and Yezdi.
The W175 is already sold in the company's Indonesian lineup. However, the Indian-spec model is likely to feature some new updates to make it ready for the Indian roads. It is likely to draw power from a 177 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine churning out 13PS of maximum power and 13.2Nm of peak torque. The transmission will include a five-speed gearbox. It will be a fuel-injected offering, albeit, these output figures are the same as the carb-fitted Indonesian-spec bike.
Some details of the upcoming Japanese retro bike have also leaked online. Rumours suggest that the motorcycle will be launched primarily in two colour options - Ebony and Special Edition Red. But there may not be any Lime Green option on the bike which is usually found on Kawasaki products globally.
In terms of aesthetics, the motorcycle will be seen as having the same basic design and styling as the international-spec model. It will use a round-shaped, classic headlamp unit at the front with halogen turn indicators, a single-piece seat, telescopic front forks, spoke wheels, round rear view mirrors and other elements to give it a proper old-school look.
Kawasaki W175 price: (expected)
The new Kawasaki W175 will sit as the entry-level bike in the company's lineup and is likely to range in between Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
