One of the renowned Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep are known for their strong bond, and no one can deny this fact. Recently, the Wanted actor joined hands with Kiccha to showcase the Hindi versions of the upcoming mystery thriller-packed film Vikrant Rona.
On June 23, the filmmakers finally unveiled the trailer, which also features Jacqueline Fernandez in a lead role. While on the other hand, Salman took to social media platforms and shared the trailer video because he couldn’t join them for the trailer launch event.
As we’re well aware of their bond, we have witnessed their off-screen friendship, which has won millions of hearts. While discussing with the publication, Kiccha Sudeep touched upon varied topics from North-South films debate to working with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
On being asked how he liked the film, Kiccha told Hindustan Times, “I was in Mumbai. He knew I was doing this film and showing the showreel to some companies. When I met him later, he had already heard from people and asked me to see the film. He liked it. In fact, he took a clean interest in the Mumbai market. He called his team to help us and asked me, ‘do you want me to come to shoot for you?’ I just said the maximum you can do is present the film because I didn’t want to ask for anything more. We are like brothers. Our equation is beyond cinema.”
Weighing on the North-South film debate, he shared how Kiccha is elated to see the language barrier lifting in India, the actor expressed, “If you went to Punjab, they would know Punjabi films and Hindi films. Similarly, in Bengal, they knew Bengali films and Hindi films. Hindi was universal. But they never knew about south films because our films were not in theatres. It’s just like Thai and Korean series getting exposure, our films are getting exposure too. It was bound to happen but what has happened in these two years is almost 15 years of change,”
Coming back to the film, Vikrant Rona is slated to release worldwide in 3D on July 28. The movie will be distributed in North India by PVR Pictures and presented by Salman Khan films, Zee Studios and Kichcha Creations.
