New Delhi: Mouth cancer or oral cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer. If discovered early, it has a high curability rate of almost 90 per cent which makes it essential to be vigilant to spot and detect signs (if any) early on.
Mouth cancer signs
Here are some signs of mouth cancer that must not be overlooked:
  1. Patches in the mouth: Red and/or white patches inside the mouth. They may look like ulcers if the patches are small or larger.
  2. Bleeding: Unexplained bleeding in the mouth or gums that may occur quite randomly.
  3. Earache: An unexplained pain in the ear which might also be accompanied by a feeling of fullness or clogged ears. This is a symptom to be especially wary of, as it can present itself as something that’s unrelated to oral.
  4. Unhealthy teeth: Looseness of a tooth or a change in how your teeth fit together that may feel odd.
  5. A persistent sore: A lip or mouth sore is present for a long time and appears to not heal.
