Cuddalore: Girl studying in class 12 found dead; mother claims daughter was stressed

Cuddalore: In yet another shocking incident, a girl studying in class 12 was found dead in Tamil Nadu's Cuddalore. The girl allegedly died by suicide. The girl's mother claimed that her daughter was stressed for several days.
However, police have registered a case of suspicious death and further probe is underway. Cuddalore SP S Sakthi Ganesan told news agency ANI, "She committed suicide due to domestic issues at her home."
As per reports, the girl allegedly committed suicide at her residence due to domestic issues. Police intervened when the parents of the deceased were conducting her final rites and her body was sent for postmortem. However, the reason behind the alleged suicide is still unclear and cops are trying to find out why the girl took such an extreme step.
This is the third incident of suspected suicide which has been reported from Tamil Nadu in the month of July.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the autopsy of a Tamil Nadu Class 12 girl student who died by suicide was performed in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. The autopsy has been recorded in the presence of CB-CID authorities and two family members of the victim.
A large police force was stationed outside the Tiruvallur hospital morgue. The 17-year-old girl's body was discovered in her hostel room.
Following the autopsy, the girl's family will take the body to their village for final rites. The entire autopsy report is anticipated to be released in the coming days.
Security was ramped up to prevent a repeat of the Kallakurichi girl student suicide case. In Kallakurichi, the girl reportedly committed suicide. Following the death of the girl, portions of the state saw extensive violent protests.
