The P1 can be regarded as the spiritual successor to McLaren’s most popular legendary car, McLaren F1. Both the cars feature the same carbon tub monocoque body which cocoons the driver and his co-passenger.
It has a rear-wheel drivetrain, and with a kerb weight of 1,490 kg, the P1 has a power-to-weight ratio of 457 hp/ kg. This roughly translates to the fact that it can do 0-100 km/hr in 2.8 seconds, and 0-200 km/hr in 6.8 seconds.
