It's raining new shows on the small screen. Leading GECs are gearing up for the launch of interesting daily soaps and reality shows post the culmination of Indian Premiere League 2022. We had earlier informed you that Saurabh Tewari is all set to produce a new romantic drama for Colors channel.
Gossip mills were buzzing with the rumours that Erica Fernandes will play the lead role in the upcoming show, which will focus on the love story of a young boy and an elder woman. While the production house remained tight-lipped about the cast, it was said that the casting team approached Erica Fernandes for the same.
We have some exciting update for the fans, who are waiting for the show. A popular TV star will be seen playing the main lead role in the show. But she is not Erica Fernandes.
According to a report in a portal, the makers have locked in their female lead. Can you guess who is she?
Surbhi Chandna, who is fondly known for playing the role of Anika in Ishaqbaaaz opposite Nakuul Mehta, will essay the main protagonist in Saurabh Tewari's next, a report in Tellychakkar said.
On the professional front, Surbhi was last seen in Naagin 5. She played the character of a shape shifting serpent in Ekta Kapoor's fifth installment of Naagin series. The show co-starring Sharad Malhotra and Dheeraj Dhoopar went off air last year. Despite the initial hype, the supernatural drama couldn't set the TRP charts on fire.
