Tamil Nadu: Man found dead in Isha Yoga Centre

A 32-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh, who was undergoing a six months yoga training course at the Isha Yoga Centre in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, was found dead in his room. A case has been registered under Section 174 (Police to enquire and report on suicide etc.) of the Code of Criminal procedure.

A 32-year-old man identified as Gullu Ramana from Andhra Pradesh, who was undergoing a six months yoga training course at the Isha Yoga Centre in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, was found dead in his room. The victim was a native of Visakhapatnam, as reported by news agency IANS.
Coimbatore's Superintendent of Police, V. Badrinarayanan told media that the man had come to attend the six-month yoga programme at the Isha Centre on July 15. The SP said that he was to attend a yoga class at the centre at 5.30 a.m. on Friday which he missed. When others came to enquire about him they found him dead in the room, reported IANS.
Police also said that the room was occupied by other inmates too and he could have died between 5.30 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. as he was alone at the time and others were attending classes. A case has been registered under Section 174 (Police to enquire and report on suicide etc.) of the Code of Criminal procedure. The cause of his death would be known after the post-mortem. The deceased’s family members have been informed at Visakhapatnam, reported IANS.
In a similar incident earlier this week, a newly married couple allegedly committed suicide in their rented residence near Dala Shiva Temple in Odisha's Jajpur Road police limit area.
According to sources, the man worked at a private company in Kalinga Nagar. He married four months ago and was living in a leased house with his wife, The New Indian Express reported.
Smitashree Biswal, the house owner, noticed the bodies and called the police. She said that the couple had been renting her property for the last two months. On Saturday, she had also observed the man arrive home from work.
After receiving information, Jajpur Road police went to the scene and transferred the bodies for post-mortem examination. Though the actual cause of their death is unknown, the couple is thought to have committed suicide. According to police, a case has been filed and an investigation is underway.
