Still with Shiv Sena, supporting Eknath Shinde to save Balasaheb Thackeray's Shiv Sena, says rebel MLA Uday Samant

Guwahati: With the Uddhav Thackeray faction slamming the rebel MLAs of betraying Balasaheb Thackeray's Shiv Sena, Uday Samant has clarified that the rebels backing Eknath Shinde are still in Shiv Sena. In a video message, Samant also clarified that the group is not in touch with any other political leader from other political parties.
"The decision to reach Guwahati was taken in order to save Shiv Sena from the hands of the constituent parties," Samant clarified. He further added that none of the MLAs are in touch with any other political parties or party leaders. "We are supporting Eknath Shinde in order to save the Shiv Sena of Balasaheb Thackeray," he said.

Have 50 MLAs with me, says Eknath Shinde

Earlier today, sources told Times Now that the BJP and Eknath Shinde faction may form a government in Maharashtra and Shinde could be offered the post of Maharashtra Deputy CM. The BJP, or Eknath Shinde faction have not issued any official statement on the government formation in Maharashtra.
"We had clarified yesterday as well that we will hold another core team meeting in the days to come, keeping in mind its necessity - if any. We will deliberate and make a decision. Right now we are in wait-and-watch mode," said Maharashtra BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar.
Meanwhile Eknath Shinde, on Tuesday claimed that he had a support of 50 MLAs. "50 MLAs are with me in Guwahati, they have come of their own accord and for Hindutva... Will return to Mumbai soon," Shinde said, even as he urged Shiv Sena to disclose the names of MLAs who are in touch with the Uddhav Thackeray faction.
