The moment RanLia fans had been waiting for, with bated breath, since April this year finally arrived on Sunday (July 17). The makers of Brahmastra released the much-awaited song Kesariya from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer today. But little did fans know that they were in for one more surprise.
Minutes before the release of the romantic song, Alia announced that she was going LIVE on Instagram with director Ayan Mukerji. The duo interacted with fans and spoke about Kesariya's shoot, music and more. Curious fans were, however, waiting to see if Ranbir would join his wife for the promotions of their song.
While Alia left fans disappointed by pointing out that he's busy promoting Shamshera, they got a sweet surprise at the end. Minutes before Ayan launched the song on YouTube, Ranbir jumped into the frame and surprised everyone. Needless to add, fans were left gushing over him.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt's reaction also won our hearts. The Gangubai Kathiawadi star was seen smiling from ear to ear as he sat beside her. Together, they looked as cute as ever! Take a look at some adorable glimpses of the couple:
Apart from being the first song of Ranbir and Alia's much-awaited film Brahmastra, it is special for Alia and Ranbir for another reason. The teaser of the track was released by Ayan a day before RanLia's wedding in April this year. Dedicating it to them, he had written, "For Ranbir and For Alia! And… For this Sacred Journey they are going to embark on soon."
Meanwhile, talking about Brahmastra, the sci-fi adventure trilogy is a part of Ayan Mukerji's Astraverse.
The first part of the sci-fi adventure project, titled Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, is set to release on September 9 this year in five different languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.
