We have directed the police to register a case and take action against the accused on an urgent basis. The incident took place in Hilite Mall, Kozhikode and we are aware of it through the media. This Incident shows that women cannot move freely in public places. It is a very unfortunate incident. Women are facing torture in the house, and workplace and these incidents have proven once again. Our opinion is that when such incidents are happening it's the prime duty of the organizer to ensure that safety is provided to women. Women in cinema history require safety and security as there have been many complaints that came up earlier and we are of the view that the concerned authorities should seriously look into it. Film actresses should be able to work in a secure environment at the workplace. The commission has taken this issue very very seriously", says P Sathi Devi, Kerala Women's Commission.
