Over the years, films that carry social messages have had a huge influence not only on the audience but on policymakers too. In 2018, Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna rejoiced when sanitary pads were exempted from Goods and Services Tax (GST), an initiative the couple believed in that led to making their film, PadMan.
Earlier today, Salman Khan reacted to the Government of India's new initiative in making the police force all over India more people-friendly. To better the image of cops in the country, where the fear of approaching a police officer is quite rampant, Praveen Pardeshi, a Member Administration at Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, shared a post about proactively solving citizen problems.
The program was organised by Chandigarh Police to "completely transform UT police forces into a citizen centric service." Salman Khan, whose iconic cop character from Dabangg valiantly stands against injustice, shared a tweet and stated that Chulbul Pandey's desire has been fulfilled.
He wrote, "Government of India has launched a massive training programme to make the police forces all over India more people friendly. Ab Chulbul Pandey Ki Aasha Sach hui. #Praveenpardeshi @PMOIndia"
According to Praveen Pardeshi's post, "The behavioural training is led by Ministry of Home Affairs under guidance of Secretary Ajay Bhalla and JS Ashutosh Agnihotri. Course content was derived through consultations with UT police forces led by Illumine Knowledge Resources and R Balasubramaniam and the Capacity Building Commission."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman has several films in the pipeline. The actor is prepping for his much-awaited movie, Tiger 3. He will reprise his role along with Katrina Kaif. Emraan Hashmi is the new addition to the franchise, which will release next year.
Recently, the actor began shooting for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with actress Pooja Hegde.
