Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic reacts to Kevin Pietersen's post backing Virat Kohli to rediscover form

After seeing Virat Kohli face intense criticism from cricket experts following a poor run of form, England skipper Kevin Pietersen came out in strong support of the Indian batting great. Even Serbian Tennis great Novak Djokovic reacted to Pietersen's post on Instagram which has stunned cricket fans across the world.

Going through a lean run of form, Virat Kohli seems to have found support from unlikely quarters as Novak Djokovic reacted to ex-England captain Kevin Pietersen's Instagram post in support of the Indian cricket legend. While a lot of people expressed their support for Kohli from the sporting fraternity in the last few days, this has by far been the most surprising of them.
On seeing the relentless criticism for Kohli from across the world, Pietersen came out in strong support of Kohli and claimed that even the some of the greatest to have played the sport can only dream of achieving what the ex-Indian captain has achieved in the sport already. Pietersen wrote on Instagram: '"Buddy, your career has had some of the best that have played the game only wish they could have done what you have(so far). Be proud, walk tall & enjoy life. There’s way more than just the bubble of cricket out there. You’ll be back."
Reacting to Kohli latest Instagram post, Pietersen also wrote 'You go big guy! People can only dream about what you’ve done in cricket. And they’re some of the best players that have played the game.'

While Pietersen's post received a lot of praise from cricket fans, even Djokovic extended his support for Kohli. The Serbian liked Pietersen's post and joined the list of sporting legends backing Kohli to come back to his best soon.

Djokovic is fresh of winning his 21st Grand Slam title. Last week, he defeated Nick Kyrgios in the final of the Wimbledon at the Centre Court to clinch the Wimbledon trophy for the 7th time in his career making him the joint-second highest winner of the men's singles event at the competition alongside Pete Sampras. This was Djokovic's fourth consecutive title having won the trophy in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
