Man wanted in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances cases arrested in Ghaziabad

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Delhi Police has arrested Raj Kumar alias Bulbul, who had been carrying a reward of Rs one lakh for his capture. According to a senior official, Raj Kumar was wanted in a number of criminal cases in relation to the NDPS Act.

Ghaziabad: Raj Kumar alias Bulbul, who had been wanted in a number of criminal cases pertaining to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) was captured and arrested by the local police. According to a report in IANS, a senior police official has said that Raj Kumar had run away from the interim bail granted by Tis Hazari court in Delhi, after which he had proclaimed an offender, leading to the police announced a reward for his capture.
According to IANS, the police initially received information that Raj Kumar would be visiting Loni in UP's Ghaziabad district to meet one of his associates.
"A trap was laid and a raid was conducted in Loni. Bulbul was arrested from Garhi Kattia Mohalla, Raja Garden locality of Ghaziabad. After his arrest, he was produced in the court which sent him to judicial custody," said the police official, as reported by IANS.
In another significant bust today, the Guwahati Police arrested four members of an international network. In an operation led by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, four members of an international drug network were arrested and one Dumper along with 1,00,000 Yuba tablets was seized from their possession. The drugs were hidden inside the walls of a dumper.
Earlier on June 29, an East Guwahati Police Department team from Jorabat OP of Basistha PS raided two shops near Sankardev Nagar, Jorabat and recovered 3.2 kgs of ganja this evening. Two women - Junti Kaur and Savita Devi, both from Sankardev Nagar - were arrested.
