Actor Hrithik Roshan's Vikram Vedha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Ponniyin Selvan 1 were released together on September 30 in theatres. Though both the films are witnessing a clash at the box office, Hrithik and Karthi are all praise for each other's latest release.

Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Vikram Vedha witnessed a box office clash with Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 1. Both the films were released together on the silver screen on September 30 and both have been receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences, alike.
In a sweet social media exchange, Ponniyin Selvan 1 actor Karthi on Friday (September 30) evening took to social media to wish the Vikram Vedha team good luck for the release of their film. And Hrithik responded with nothing but love.
Hrithik went on to share that he is "hearing all good things" about Ponniyin Selvan 1.
Karthi tweeted, "Wishing @iHrithik, #SaifAliKhan, @PushkarGayatri and team a huge success for #VikramVedha. Looking forward to watch the film soon.”

While Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan 1, have received a positive response and both the films are showing an upward trend at the box office, it is predicted that Mani Ratnam's film will outgrow Hrithik's film.
According to the reports, the period drama has opened sold-out shows in Tamil Nadu and it is expected to make more than Rs 20 crore in the state alone. Across languages and regions, the film is expected to make over Rs 40 crore.
Meanwhile, Vikram Vedha also stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, and Rohit Saraf, among others. Ponniyin Selvan 1 stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, among others.
