Anupam Kher bumps into his ‘ former student’ Deepika Padukone at the airport; the result is some happy photos

How many times have we hoped to bump into someone we like while travelling? Well, almost every time. The same happened with Anupam Kher, who was on his way to Los Angeles, USA, and bumped into Deepika Padukone at the Dubai airport. Deepika was headed to Cannes, France, as she is part of the jury of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

Anupam shared photos of this chance meeting with Deepika with the caption, “Happy to meet talented Ms. @deepikapadukone at Dubai airport! She being a alumni of @actorprepares her success graph makes me doubly happy and proud! Jai Ho!” For those of you who don't know, Deepika had done an acting course at Anupam’s acting school before she started her acting journey in Bollywood with Om Shanti Om.

In the photos, both the celebrities looked chic in their airport looks. While Anupam stuck to a basic blue jeans and white shirt combination, Deepika had opted for an off-white co-ord set with black chunky boots. She kept her overall look subtle with minimal makeup and hair tied up in a low ponytail.

Deepika will be in Cannes for the entire duration of the festival and a has busy two weeks ahead from May 16 to May 28. She is part of an eight-member jury presided by French actor Vincent Lindon and also includes Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, actress screenwriter producer Rebecca Hall, Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, French director Ladj Ly, American director Jeff Nichols and director Joachim Trier from Norway.

On the other hand, Anupam, who recently completed the shoot of Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai in Delhi, is headed to LA for some work.
