Ardent fans of Sony SAB's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah were disappointed when Neha Mehta quit the show in 2020. The talented actress bid adieu to the sitcom after playing the role of Anjali bhabhi for 12 years. The Dollar Bahu star has stayed away from the small screen after leaving TMKOC.
Neha Mehta, who recently wrapped up the shoot of her upcoming Gujarati movie, has now revealed that she is yet to get her pending dues from the production house of Taarak Mehta.
The Bhabhi actress, while interacting with a portal, shared that her dues of the last six months have been pending. She said that she called the makers a few times after quitting the show.
The 44-year-old further stated that she lives a 'dignified' life and doesn't believe in complaining about anything. She hoped that she would receive her hard-earned money soon.
"I acted in Taarak Mehta as Anjali for 12 years before quitting in 2020. The last six months' money is pending. After I quit the show, I called them a few times regarding my pending dues. I don't like complaining... hopefully, there will be a solution soon and I will get my hard-earned money," Neha told ETimes.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has remained in headlines for different reasons in the past one month. Neha Mehta's on-screen husband Shailesh Lodha has reportedly decided to leave the show. The actor-poet, who plays the titular role, has not been shooting for over a month.
It is being said that Shailesh is unhappy with his exclusive contract that prohibits him from taking up any other project. The actor has remained tight-lipped about the rumours floating on the internet.
Earlier, Asit Modi confirmed that the character of Dayaben would make a return to TMKOC after a long time. However, he also shared that Disha Vakani won't make a comeback to the show.
Taarak Mehta, which is one of the longest running shows on Indian television, will complete fourteen successful years next month.
