Chennai Metro announces lucky draw contest winners - check names, rewards and details

The metro conducts luck draw contests each month to encourage passengers to utilise the services. Passengers may contact the Station Controller of their nearest Metro Station to participate in the contest.

Chennai: The Chennai Metro Rail Corporation has announced the winners of its lucky draw contest held from August 21 to September 20. As many as 30 passengers were selected as winners of a lucky draw under different categories. The contest is one of the Metro's efforts to encourage passengers to utilise the services.

Category 1: The top 10 commuters who made a maximum number of rides in a month will be rewarded with a gift voucher or branded products of value not more than Rs 2000. A travel card with unlimited rides for 30 days, worth Rs 2500, will also be distributed to the winners.

Category 2: The top 10 commuters selected from the group of passengers who had made a top-up of Rs 1500 and above transaction during the month will also be getting rewards. These lucky draw winners will be rewarded with a gift voucher or branded product of value not more than Rs 2000.

Category 3: The top 10 commuters who purchased CMRL Travel Card and also made a top-up for a minimum amount of Rs 500 will be getting a free top-up worth Rs 1450 and a gift voucher or branded product of value not more than Rs 2000.

The date of distribution of gift vouchers and rewards will be announced later. Prizes are sponsored by Mark Metro in association with CMRL. The CMRL conducts a lucky draw each month. To participate, passengers may contact the Station Controller of their nearest Metro Station, the officials said.
