Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express inaugural run tomorrow: Check out timetable, route, stoppages

According to the proposed timings, Train No. 20901 Vande Bharat Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 6:10 am and reach Gandhinagar Capital at 12:30 pm. It will have three stoppages on the route.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new and upgraded version of Vande Bharat Express, the third of its kind, between Gandhinagar Capital and Mumbai Central at Gandhinagar station on Friday. Modi will also travel by this train from Gandhinagar to Kalupur railway station.
According to the proposed timings shared by the Railway Board, Train No. 20901 Vande Bharat Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 6:10 am and reach Gandhinagar Capital at 12:30 pm. It will have three stoppages on the route. First stoppage will be at Surat (8:50 am), Vadodara (10:20 am) and Ahmedabad (11:35 am). This train will cover a distance of 520 km in 6.20 hours. To reach Ahmedabad from Mumbai Central, Vande Bharat Express will take 5.25 hours.
In the return journey, Train No. 29902 Vande Bharat Express will depart from Gandhinagar Capital at 2:05 pm and reach Mumbai Central at 8:35 pm. Its stoppage at Ahmedabad railway station is scheduled at 2:40 pm, Vadodara at 4 pm and Surat at 5:40 pm.
The train will run 6 days a week, except Sunday. Gandhinagar Capital to Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express will have 16 coaches.
The two other Vande Bharat Express trains are -- New Delhi to Varanasi (inaugural run on February 15, 2019) and New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (inaugural run on October 3, 2019).

The Vande Bharat Express can travel at a top speed of 160 kmph. It offers passengers a superior travelling experience. In terms of convenience and speed, this train represents Indian Railways' next significant advancement.
Various phases of trials of the new rake of Vande Bharat Express were conducted in Kota Division. Phase I trial between Kota and Ghat ka Barana, Second Ghat Ka Barana and Kota, Third trial non-recording on the down line between Kurlasi and Ramganj Mandi, Fourth and Fifth trial on the down line between Kurlasi and Ramganj Mandi and Sixth trial on the down line between Kurlasi and Ramganj Mandi and Laban was done on the down line.
