When Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's son, Aryan Khan, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last year, many B-town celebs had come out in support of the star kid. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha was one of them. Back then, he had reportedly claimed that the NCB was excessively harsh on Aryan and victimised him.
Now, in an interview, the veteran actor has expressed disappointment at Shah Rukh for not thanking him for supporting Aryan.
In an interview with Nation Next, Sinha was asked if Aryan's case made him feel concerned as a parent to a famous child. Replying to this, he said in Hindi, "It would be a matter of concern for any parent. The way Aryan was treated, the manner in which negative stories were spun about him… We all feel vindicated today for having supported him, now that he’s been proven to be innocent."
"As a parent, I felt Shah Rukh Khan's pain. Even if he was guilty, instead of rehabilitating him, (they locked him up)… I should also say that, as expected, I didn't receive a thank you card from Shah Rukh, even though I was maybe the most prominent voice standing up for Aryan in all of Mumbai. But I have a habit of calling a spade a spade, and for standing up for what is right," he added.
The veteran actor further said that he stood up against what he believed was an injustice, adding that as far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he didn't receive any thanks or a thank you card from the actor.
Further talking about Shah Rukh during the interaction, Sinha said, "That's our personal matter, we are cordial with each other, we'll resolve whatever needs to be resolved." When asked if he will get in touch with SRK, the veteran actor said, "No, absolutely not."
Aryan was recently given a clean chit by the NCB citing "lack of sufficient evidence" and "shortcomings" in the probe.
