Bengaluru: Policeman's wife vandalises SBI branch with machete for seizing her house; arrested

Police said that the woman allegedly began abusing the bank officials for reportedly seizing her house as she had defaulted on the home loan. Police said that bank staff tried to close the main door but she could not be stopped from entering the bank compound.

Bengaluru: In yet another shocking incident a woman barged into the State Bank of India (SBI) in Devanahalli at around 6 pm on June 22. Police said that the woman allegedly began abusing the bank officials for reportedly seizing her house as she had defaulted on the home loan.
Police said that bank staff tried to close the main door but she could not be stopped from entering the bank compound. Police have identified the accused as Sunita BC (40), who is a homemaker and a police sub-inspector's wife. Cops said that Sunita allegedly smashed glass panes and kiosk outside the ATM, The Times of India reported.
A team of women personnel reached the Devanahalli police station to control the situation. Woman sub-inspector Savitri tried to combat the situation and received deep wounds on her neck. However, Savitri managed to overpower Sunita and detained her.
Police said that Sunita was arrested earlier also for allegedly attacking a bank staff. Police said that the accused has been charged under sections 307 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), TOI reported.
Earlier, Sunita allegedly attacked a bank employee with a kitchen knife and threatened him with a kitchen knife.
