Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who never fears to speak up her mind, has once again made the headlines for her recent remark on the Prophet remark row. The actress took to her social media and came out in support of BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma who was suspended after her alleged derogatory comments on Prophet Muhammad. Kangana also reminded people about “democracy” in her post.
Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram and shared a statement on the ongoing Prophet remark row. She shared a story on her Instagram that read, “Nupur is entitled to her opinions, I see all kinds of threats targeted at her, when Hindu Gods are insulted which they are almost every day we go to court, pls do that no need to play dons yourself.”
The Tejas actor then said that out country is “not Afghanistan” and that we have a proper functioning government. She continued in her post, “This is not Afghanistan, we have a proper functioning government which is chosen with a process called democracy... just a reminder for those who keep forgetting.”

Meanwhile, Nupur Sharma’s comment on Prophet Muhammad set off a huge international backlash. Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker also shared a tweet tagging Nupur Sharma and wrote, “Oh hey @NupurSharmaBJP! Hope you are celebrating the international shame your hate filled rabble rousing has brought India!”
Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s work, the actress was last seen featuring in the action thriller Dhaakad. The movie failed to impress both the critics and audience and hence, did not do well at the box office. The actress will be next seen featuring in Tejas, Emergency and others. She will also produce Nawazuddin Siddiqui-Avneet Kaur starrer Tiku Weds Sheru.
