Sara Ali Khan, who appeared on Koffee With Karan and stated that she would like to date Vijay Deverakonda, has received a response from the man himself. The actor responded with humour while stating unequivocally that he was a "better actor" than her. In a recent episode of Koffee With Karan, Sara was asked to pick someone she would like to date by host Karan Johar.
The promotion for Vijay's new movie, Liger, is keeping him busy at the moment. He plays opposite Ananya Panday in the movie, which marks his Bollywood debut. On August 25, it is scheduled for release.
When questioned about his response to Sara Ali Khan's statement, Vijay told ETimes, “Okay, but I am a better actor. I texted her (Sara). It is so sweet of her to have said that.” When asked if he would really like to date her, Vijay said, “I can't even say the word 'relationship' well. How can I be in one?”
Last month, Sara and her friend and colleague Janhvi Kapoor made an appearance on Koffee With Karan. Karan questioned Sara, “Give me a name of a boy you feel like you want to date today,” she reacted, “No no, no,” and then went on to take Vijay Deverakonda's name.
Vijay later posted the video on his Instagram Stories and addressed it to Sara, “I love how you say, Deverakonda. Cutest. Sending big hugs and my affection.”
Although both Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna have denied it, there are rumours that the two are dating. Ananya even made a hint about it when she and Vijay both appeared on Koffee With Karan. Ananya gave a strange response when questioned about Vijay's romantic situation during the rapid-fire round, "I feel like he is in a rush... to meet Mika... Singh. Get it."
