New Delhi: Tina Ambani on Wednesday took a trip down the memory lane remembering her late father-in-law and Reliance Industries founder Dhirubhai Ambani on his 20th death anniversary. The industrialist passed away on July 6, 2002.
Tina, who is married to Anil Ambani, paid an emotional tribute to her late father-in-law and posted a throwback picture featuring Dhirubhai Ambani with his wife Kokilaben. The image also showed Tina and Anil Ambani along with their young children – Anmol and Anshul.
"Pappa, you continue to motivate and inspire us. Guide and teach us. Light our paths and clear the obstacles in our minds. It's been 20 years but the memories remain stronger than ever, the pain sharper than ever, the love deeper than ever. Miss you beyond measure. Every day,” she captioned the picture.
Dhirubai Ambani was probably the first Indian businessman to recognise the strategic significance of investors and discover the vast untapped potential of the capital markets and channelise it for the growth and development of industry. The corporate philosophy he followed was short, simple and succinct: “Think big. Think differently. Think fast. Think ahead. Aim for the best", the Reliance Group states on its website.
His contributions to the social and economic development of the nation were many and recognised by numerous national and international organisations. The late industrilaist was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan – India's second highest civilian honour – in 2016, for his ‘exceptional and distinguished’ service to trade and industry.
Among other awards and titles conferred on him are the Lifetime Achievement Award (The Economic Times), Man of the Century (Chemtech Foundation), Indian Entrepreneur of the 20th Century (FICCI).
Meanwhile, Anil and Tina’s elder son Anmol Ambani exchanged wedding vows with Khrisha Shah on February 20 in Mumbai. Their matrimony was attended by many notable guests including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nana, Abhishek Bachchan. Hema Malini also attended the wedding.
