SSC Scam Case: CBI arrests Former advisor of SSC and former chairman of SSC. Shanti Prasad Sinha has been held by CBI in link with SSC Scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained former minister Partha Chatterjee and his assistant Arpita Mukherjee in relation to the SSC fraud on July 23. On Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) executed its first arrests in the case. Shanti Prasad Sinha and Ashok Saha, secretary, were both detained by the CBI. Following the Calcutta High Court's decision for the CBI to investigate the case, Sinha and Saha were questioned multiple times.
