Actress Ameesha Patel recently dropped a video with Pakistani actor Imran Abbas which led to their dating rumours. Now, the Gadar fame reacted to the rumours and called them 'silly'. Details Inside!

Actress Ameesha Patel created a buzz on social media after she dropped a video with Pakistani actor Imran Abbas from her Bahrain holiday. The rumour mills suggested that the duo are actually a couple. However, now Kaho Naa Pyar Hai actress rubbished the rumour and said that she was just meeting her "buddy" after many years and hence it was just a "catch up".
Ameesha met Abbas at an event in Bahrain and recorded a fun video on the song Dil Mein Dard Sa Jaga Hai from the 2002 film Kranti, originally featuring Ameesha and Bobby Deol. The video sparked their dating rumours and it spread like wildfire.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, she said, "I read them too, and had a huge laugh about it. The whole thing is just crazy and full of silliness. I was meeting my buddy after so many years. So, it was just a catch-up."
She further opened up about the same video and said, "He happens to love that song of mine. It’s his favourite song... We just did an impromptu thing, which was recorded by a friend. It came out so cute, so we posted it. It was not planned."
She added, "We have known each other for many years, since the time I studied with him at a university in the US. And I have stayed in touch with most of my friends in Pakistan, who just love India. Abbas belongs to the film industry there, and we have a lot more to talk about. We met at the event and decided to catch up later, that’s when the video just happened organically."
She concluded by saying that people shouldn't really read too much into it.
Meanwhile, on the work front, she will be next seen in Gadar 2, alongside Sunny Deol and Utkarsh Sharma.
