Anupam Kher thanks PM Modi after offering prayers at Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Temple: 'Seeing the grandeur and physique...'

Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently had a 'magical' experience in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The Kashmir Files actor visited famous temple Shri Kashi Vishwanath on Tuesday morning. Accompanied by cops, Anupam embarked on the pilgrimage by taking a walk in the lanes of the holy city.
Wearing a beige kurti with jeans and sneakers, Anupam was seen walking towards the temple. He was welcomed with garlands by fans there. A video shows the actor chanting Har Har Mahadev with a crowd. Another sees him offering prayers inside the temple. A priest is seen tying kalawa on Kher's wrist as they chant mantras.
Sharing the pictures and videos, Anupam penned a heartfelt caption. In the note, he also thanked the administration and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for changing the physique of the temple and keeping its grandeur intact.
"It was magical to walk in the narrow lanes of Varanasi leading to #KashiViswanathTemple. Blessed to see God and get his blessings," he wrote.
Tagging PM Modi, he added in Hindi, "Seeing the grandeur and physique of the temple, is a pleasure and also a proud feeling! Thanks to both the administration and Prime Minister @narendramodi ji. There was a crowd of thousands of people at 7 in the morning! Prayed for all of you too. Har Har Mahadev!"

On Tuesday, Kher offered prayers for the soul of Kashmiri Pandits who were victims of terrorism. Sharing videos of the puja, he wrote, "Participated in Tripindi Shradh ritual puja for the peace of soul of Kashmiri Hindus in Varanasi today! I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the learned scholars, Shri Santosh Ojha and all the workers of Brahm Sena who helped me in getting this worship done!"
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anupam Kher will be next seen in The Signature, which marks the comeback of actress Mahima Chaudhry.
He has several other projects in the pipeline, including Suraj Barjatya's Uunchai, Karthikeya 2, Connect, Munglilal Rocks and Shiv Shastri Balboa.
