Samantha Ruth Prabhu to make her Bollywood debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana: Report

After charming the audience down South with her enthralling performances, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is now gearing up to weave her magic on Bollywood fans. Samantha, who gave a glimpse of her talent in Raj and DK’s The Family Fan, is set to make her Hindi film debut.

There have been several rumours regarding Samantha’s maiden Bollywood venture but a latest media report claims that the diva has signed her first Hindi film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. The film will reportedly be a commercial entertainer and is said to be backed by Dinesh Vijan.

"Samantha has been working in films for the last 12 years and has an illustrious filmography behind her. So when she was seriously contemplating her Bollywood career after earning accolades and awards for her performance in Raj & DK’s espionage thriller series, she was looking for projects that would be exciting enough for her to take time off from her career down South,” a PeepingMoon report quotes a source as saying.

“She has been offered dozens of films and web shows in the last 8–9 months, but only a few of them could titillate her even for consideration. Dinesh Vijan’s film is one of the most exciting scripts Samantha has come across, and there is no way she could have passed it on. It’s a perfect Bollywood launch for Samantha as she will be playing the central character in the film alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in a parallel lead,” the report adds.

However, an official announcement is still awaited regarding the same.

Recently, there have been several reports stating that Samantha is also in talks for a film to be produced by Taapsee Pannu.

Meanwhile, the U turn actress will soon be seen in Koffee With Karan 7. Samantha will be making her debut on the popular show alongside Akshay Kumar. Fans have been waiting with bated breath for the episode to premiere.
