After winning over the South with her earnest performances and endearing looks, Rashmika Mandanna is now gearing up for the release of her maiden Hindi film, Goodbye. The Pushpa: The Rise actress is starring alongside none other than Amitabh Bachchan in her very first Bollywood outing.
Rashmika, who kickstarted her acting journey with Kirik Party in 2016, has come a long way in her career. However, the success has come at the cost of not being able to stay with her parents and her baby sister. In a recent interview, Rashmika opened up about how difficult it has been living away from her family.
Rashmika told Bollywood Bubble, “I am already feeling a little sad that I don't get to stay with them. Seeing your parents also grow up is something, like I have seen my mum since she was 17-18 and now she is 40-42. You have seen them grow up and I have a little sister who's like 8 years old. I am like I don't get to see the growing up, I just get to see the grown-up.”
“I miss it a lot, but I am a person who's receiving so much love from everyone out there and I feel equally responsible for them. So this is the sacrifice my family has made for the people out there,” she added.
Talking about what was the most painful part of staying away from home for such a long time, Rashmika said, “I have grown up in a hostel so staying away from my parents was never a problem. But constantly staying for so long and after your sister happened; when she was born, I would feed her, I would change her diapers, I would bathe her, I was her second mumma. To move from that to now not being able to see her grow up was a little painful."
Meanwhile, talking about Rashmika’s Bollywood debut, Goodbye is all set to hit theatres this Friday, i.e. October 7.
