New Delhi: As the probe into the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder intensifies, senior Pune police officials said that Sourav Mahakal, who was arrested by Pune Rural police on Wednesday, has revealed that shooter Santosh Jadhav was in the city just three days before Punjab police released his photograph.

He is said to have fled to Nepal after his photo was released.

Meanwhile, Punjab Police have arrested two more persons-Keshav and Chetan- in connection with the murder of the singer.

The two are said to be close associates of Sandeep Singh alias Kekda, who had clicked a selfie with the Sidhu Moose Wala minutes before he was shot dead. Kekda has already been arrested by police. It is alleged that Kekda posed as Punjabi singer's fan and reportedly shared information with shooters.

The arrested Keshav is a resident of Bhatinda. He was arrested from Sirsa. Keshav allegedly visited Moose Wala's village to conduct a recce.

Meanwhile, Keshav's family is in shock after news of his involvement in the case. The family said Keshav was evicted from the family two months back.

The family alleged that Bhatinda police are harassing them and urged police to kill him if he is found guilty of the singer's murder. But teh family has asked the police not to harass them.

Singer-turned-actor-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by gangsters near his ancestral village in Mansa district of Punjab on May 29. He was killed a day after his security was withdrawn by Punjab government.

Earlier, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the murder in a Facebook post. He claimed no action was taken against Sidhu Moose Wala after his name cropped up in the killing of singer and youth Akali leader Vikramjit Singh Middukhera alias Vicky Middukhera.

It is alleged that Moose Wala's murder was the revenge for Middukhera's murder in 2021 in Mohali.
