According to the latest news on Times Now, AltNews co-founder Muhammed Zubair has petitioned the Supreme Court for the dismissal of all six FIRs filed against him. After six FIRs have been launched against Zubair, Zubair has filed a fresh application seeking the quashing of all FIRs. He also challenged the constitution of the Special Investigation Team by the Uttar Pradesh government. Separate FIRs have been lodged against Zubair in Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Hathras locales on charges of hurting religious feelings, making sarcastic comments on reporters, disrespecting Hindu divine beings, and provocative posts. The Sitapur FIR was stopped on June 1 under the Indian Penal Code segment 295A and segment 67 of the IT Act on an objection by Hindu Sher Sena locale president Bhagwan Sharan.
