Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan’s baby number 3 on the way! Set to welcome baby girl next year

New Delhi: Meta Platforms co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are expecting their third child – a baby girl! The couple took to Instagram on Wednesday to share that they will be welcoming their daughter next year.
The 38-year-old billionaire shared a picture of him with wife Chan saying that he was happy to announce that Max and August are getting a baby sister next year. “Lots of love. Happy to share that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year!” Zuckerberg wrote.
Zuckerberg and Chan are already parents to two daughters Max and August who were born in 2015 and 2016, respectively. The couple first met at Harvard in 2003 and tied the knot ten years ago on May 19, 2012 in the grounds of Zuckerberg's mansion.
Their wedding day also celebrated Chan's graduation from medical school.
The couple’s love story first came to light reportedly after Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates broke the news in 2011. Gates, the world’s fifth richest person, ended up calling Chan Zuckerberg’s fiancée in an interview with Daily Mail. Zuckerberg, however, had denied Gates’ claim then.
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg, who is the 23th richest person in the world with a net worth of $53.3 billion, recently reached a tentative $37.5 million preliminary settlement of a lawsuit involving the infamous Cambridge Analytica controversy where Meta was accused of violating users' privacy by tracking movements through their smartphones without due permission.
Interestingly, the settlement offer comes days before Zuckerberg and former COO Sheryl Sandberg were scheduled to be put on the stand for lengthy depositions.
The billionaire's wealth is down by 50 per cent since 2022, the biggest loss for a billionaire listed on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index this year. Less than two years ago, the Facebook co-founder was worth $106 billion. His net worth had soared to $142 billion in September last year, however, is now down to nearly $50 billion.
