Sharing some midweek motivation with fans, Savesh shared a short video where she not only demonstrated the lion pose but also penned its many health benefits. The unique pose involves sitting with the legs folded and on the buttocks and hands rested on the knees and fingers stretched out. It also involves a facial expression where one needs to open the mouth and stretch out the tongue.
“Simhasana aka the lion's pose helps you reduce stress, and anger it also stimulates your immune system,” Sarvesh Shahi captioned the post.
What are the health benefits of the Simhasana or lion pose?
Sarvesh Shahi further added that the lion pose is one of the best ways to relieve tension in the face and the chest. Practising this pose is a great way to improve blood circulation to the face, eyes, and skin by stimulating the nerves. This could also improve skin and hair health impressively. For asthma patients as well, practising this pose is a great way to prevent respiratory problems, sore throat and platysma.
