Jawan director Atlee celebrates birthday with his ‘two pillars' Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Thalapathy - PIC

Actor Shah Rukh Khan recently celebrated Jawan director Atlee's birthday. The filmmaker on Thursday dropped a picture featuring him, Shah Rukh and Vijay Thalapathy.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan has collaborated with the filmmaker Atlee for his upcoming film Jawan, also starring South cinema industry's popular actress Nayanthara. Director Atlee turned a year older on September 21 and his birthday celebrations were joined by Shah Rukh Khan and actor Vijay Thalapathy.

On Thursday (September 22), Atlee took to Twitter to share a lovely photo from his birthday bash featuring Shah Rukh and Vijay along with Atlee.

In the photo, the trio can be seen wearing black casual attires. While Shah Rukh looked dapper in black t-shirt paired with matching denim, Vijay can be seen sporting a black shirt and pants while Atlee can be seen wearing a black t-shirt teamed up with a pair of denim and a black jacket.

Calling the two superstars his 'pillars', he wrote along with the picture, "What more can I ask on my bday , the best bday ever wit my pillars. My dear @iamsrk sir & ennoda annae ennoda thalapathy @actorvijay."

Talking about the film Jawan, reportedly Shah Rukh Khan will play double role, while Nayanthara will be essaying the role of an investigating officer. It also features Sanya Malhotra in an important role. The film is touted to be a spectacular project with high-octane action sequences and talent assembled case from the Indian cinema.

Earlier, Shah Rukh spoke about the film in a statement and said, "Jawan is a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy. Credit goes to Atlee for creating this unique film, which has also been a fantastic experience for me as I love action films! The teaser is the just tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what’s to come.”

Apart from Jawan, Shah Rukh will also be seen in Pathaan, alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He also has Dunki with Taapsee Pannu.
