Lord Vishnu devotees observe the Ekadashi fast that usually lasts from the night of Dashami Tithi to the morning of Dwadashi Tithi. And this vrat is observed bi-monthly because two Lunar fortnights make a Hindu month. And interestingly, each Ekadashi Tithi has a specific name and significance. For instance, the Ekadashi of Ashadha, Krishna Paksha (as per the Purnimant calendar) or Jyeshtha Krishna Paksha (according to the Amavasyant calendar), is Yogini Ekadashi.
