Priyanka Chopra is a global icon who is on a mission to make the country proud. Chopra has now added another feather to her already crowded cap with her interaction with US Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House on Friday. Chopra participated in the Democratic National Committee's Women's Leadership Forum where she went on to ask the celebrated politician important questions on prevalent topics.
Harris and Chopra went on to speak about various topics like mansplaining, abortion laws, pay parity, and gun reform in the United States of America. As per reports in Reuters, the actress started the session by taking a jab at men patronising women. Following the silence in the room, Priyanka jokingly added, "Do you hear that sound? That is the sound of no mansplaining, ladies."
Priyanka also revealed that in her career spanning over 22 years, she received an equal pay as her male co-star for the very first time only this year. For the event, Priyanka opted for a formal pastel yellow dress and teamed it with white heels. With open hair and minimal makeup, Priyanka looked perfect.
Priyanka had earlier shared images from Washington but very little was known about the purpose of her visit. She also visited the Washington Monument, as well as a glimpse inside the White House with a beverage in her hand that had the presidential seal on it.
Before making her way to Washington, Priyanka took off to New York along with her daughter Malti Marie to address the United Nations General Assembly. She took to her social media handle to share images and videos from the gathering and a part of her caption read, "Walking through the gates of the United Nations this morning to speak at UNGA for the second time, as a proud representative of @unicef, gave me real pause."
