Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is inching towards earning Rs 100 crore at the box office. While the film beat Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi by a huge margin after one week at ticket windows, the top spot however, still remains with another Bollywood flick. Bhool Bhuliayaa 2 becomes second highest Week 1 grosser of 2022
Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is inching towards earning Rs 100 crore at the box office. The film, which also has Kiara Advani and Tabu in pivotal roles has been directed by Anees Bazmee.
Earlier today, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film's business writing, "#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 is EXTRAORDINARY in Week 1... SUPERB HOLD in mass circuits... It is these sectors that will add to a strong total, despite multiple new films this week... Will cross ₹ 💯 cr on [second] Sat... *Week 1* data in next tweet..."
He further added, "#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 will emerge #KartikAaryan's HIGHEST GROSSING FILM in Weekend 2 [will surpass #SonuKeTituKiSweety lifetime biz]... SUPER-HIT... [Week 1] Fri 14.11 cr, Sat 18.34 cr, Sun 23.51 cr, Mon 10.75 cr, Tue 9.56 cr, Wed 8.51 cr, Thu 7.27 cr. Total: ₹ 92.05 cr. #India biz."

Adarsh also listed the "Top Scorers" of 2022, of which Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi ranked third with Rs 68.93 crore at the box office after a week in theatres. Coming in at second by a huge margin is Kartim Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which earned makers Rs 92.05 crore in Week 1. However, the numero uno posiiton is still held by Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files. The Anupam Kher starrer earned RS 97.30 crore at the ticket windows after a week at the box office.
However, none of these Bollywood films come close to dubbed versions of Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 and SS Rajamouli's RRR. While Prashanth Neel's film minted Rs 268.63 in 8 days, while Ram Charan and Jr NTR's RRR earned Rs 132.59 crore.
Adarsh had earlier stated that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will emerge Kartik Aaryan's highest grossing film, surpassing that of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
