Amitabh Bachchan confirms sending voice note to Raju Srivastava: ‘He did open his eyes a bit...’

Raju Srivastava has always been vocal about his love for megastar Amitabh Bachchan and often used to mimic Big B during his comic stints. After his passing away, the Goodbye actor took to his blog and penned down a note for Raju. Big B also confirmed sending a voice note to the comedian while he was hospitalised.

Popular comedian Raju Srivastava breathed his last on September 21, 2022, after fighting a long battle for 41 days in the hospital. The comedian was admitted to AIIMS on August 10 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Reportedly, Raju also suffered from severe brain damage. After the comedian left for his heavenly abode, many celebrities took to their social media and shared their heartfelt condolences to his family. Amitabh Bachchan also took to his blog and penned down a heartfelt on Raju Srivastava’s demise.

Amitabh Bachchan shared a note that read, “another colleague friend and creative artist leaves us .. a sudden ailment and gone before time .. before his creativity time completion .. each day in the morning with him in spirit and information from near ones .. they got advised to send a voice to awaken his condition .. i did .. they played it for him in his state in his ears .. on one instance he did open his eye a bit .. and then .. went away ..”
The Project K actor further wrote, “his sense of timing and the colloquial humour of his birth shall remain with us .. it was unique , open frank and filled with humour .. he smiles from the Heavens now and will be the reason for mirth with the God’s.”
Earlier, a report in India Today claimed that Big B sent a voice note to Raju with the message, “It's enough Raju. Rise up Raju, and keep teaching us all to laugh.”
Meanwhile, Raju Srivastava was cremated at Nigambodh Ghat on Thursday (September 22) afternoon, where his son Ayushmaan performed his last rites. His wife Shikha Srivastava was seen crying inconsolably as she bid a final goodbye to her husband and also called him a “true fighter”.
