Weather Update: Active monsoon conditions likely over central parts of India during next 3 days; here is complete IMD forecast

Active monsoon conditions are likely over central parts of India during the next three days and over northwest India till August 16. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall over the central and along the west coast.

A Low-Pressure Area, which formed on the morning of August 13 over the North Bay of Bengal, is likely to intensify into a Depression during the next few hours and move west northwestwards across the Indian subcontinent. Meanwhile, active monsoon conditions are likely over central parts of India during the next three days and over northwest India till August 16.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall over the central and along the west coast. "Fairly widespread/Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over East Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh during 13th-15th; Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh during 13th-16th; Gujarat Region during 13th-17th; Vidarbha on 14th & 15th; Saurashtra & Kutch on 13th; 16th & 17th August, 2022," the MeT Department said in its weather bulletin.
Isolated very heavy rainfall is likely over Madhya Maharashtra and Vidharbha on August 14, over east Madhya Pradesh on August 15 and over Konkan and Goa on August 14 and 15. Similar weather conditions are expected over west Madhya Pradesh on August 14 and 16 and over the Gujarat region on August 15 and 16. Meanwhile, Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over east Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on August 14, over Madhya Maharashtra and west Madhya Pradesh on August 15.
Rainfall is also predicted over the eastern and northeastern regions of the country. "Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Jharkhand and West Bengal & Sikkim on 13th & 14th; Odisha during 13th-15th; Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on 13th, 14th & 17th August, 2022."
Scattered to Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms or lightning are very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on Saturday. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall with thunderstorms or lightning is forecasted over Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh on August 14, over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on August 14 and 15 and over several parts of Rajasthan till August 16. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Saturday.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the north and the central Arabian Sea and along and off Gujarat and Maharashtra coasts till August 14. Fishermen are also warned against venturing into the north and adjoining the central Bay of Bengal and along and off Bangladesh, West Bengal, Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh coasts on August 14.
