Sabudana Vada and more Navratri Vrat recipes

If you have been observing the Navratri fasts every year, you may have been on the lookout for recipes that give variation to the menu, beyond the regular sabudana khichri staple.
It is Navratri time. An opportunity to stay away from Raajsik (calorie-dense and fattening) foods or Taamsik foods (the kind that agitates the digestive system, and causes heartburn though they are the tastiest ever).
But that is such a tall order. What can one possibly have a wide choice in this restricted domain? Cooking the same bland food is going to get boring. You want to follow the Vrat fasting rules yet also realise that the taste buds and the brain demand that the same food also be delicious and inviting.
There are several nutritious and yummy delights and the best part is that they can be made in a few minutes.
Sunita Ahuja who runs a Youtube channel that breaks down the hype around tasty dishes and provides hacks to cook with minimal fuss the tastiest if food, brings you this Sabudana (Sago) Vada recipe. If your Vrat permits you to eat greens like pudina (mint) and dhaniya (coriander) leaves, we suggest you keep a preparation of that chutney with green chilli churned into it to go with these yummy Sabudana vadas.
Here you go.
