Tauqeer Raza Khan asks PM Modi to 'come and read Kalma', says Yogi Adityanath following 'Raj dharma'

Lucknow: Demanding the arrest of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma over her controversial comment against Prophet Muhammad, Ittehad-e-Millat Council, Bareilly Sharif, Hazrat Maulana Tauqeer Ahmed Raza Khan, stoked a huge controversy as he asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to read the Kalma.
Attacking the BJP-headed central government, Maulana Tauqeer said the Muslims don't have any hopes from the incumbent regime and warned of approaching the United Nations to highlight the plight against the minority community in India.
He flayed Sharma for her remarks and demanded her arrest and alleged that the Centre was not paying any heed to their demands.
"We will not give a memorandum of our demands to the district administration, government or governor. If we have to give a memorandum, we will approach the United Nations organisation," he said.
Addressing a gathering in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly, the Maulana heaped praise on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying they have more dislike towards Yogi regime, but the UP CM is following 'Raj dharma'. The Ittehad-e-Millat Council leader said that CM Adityanath took action against the people who disrespected Muslims in Ayodhya, which is a praiseworthy.
He also attacked the BJP regime at the Centre over the Agnipath scheme. While voicing his support for the violent protests that erupted against the new military recruitment scheme across many states, Tauqeer said that the Modi government ius trying to destroy th efuture f the youth of this country.
Several states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana have witnessed violent protests against the Centre's Agnipath scheme that was approved on June 14. The Union Cabinet cleared the Agnipat scheme for recruitment of youth in the armed forces and announced that the Agniveers will be enrolled under respective Service Acts for four years.
Huge protests erupted against Nupur Sharma's comment
Violent protests had erupted in Uttar Pradesh and other states over now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's remarks on Prophet Mohammad. On June 3 and 10, UP witnessed arson, violence in Prayagraj and Kanpur respectively. Acting tough, the police have arrested 421 people and registered 20 FIRs so far in connection with the violent protests that erupted across the state.
