Lucknow: Two brothers were arrested by the police from the Gosainganj area of Lucknow for the alleged murder of their father. The accused reportedly committed the crime after the murdered man threatened to kill the elder brother's baby daughter.
The police said Awadhesh (29) and Rajneesh (25) murdered their father Ramesh Chandra Rawat (50) on Saturday night after a fight within the family. Ramesh Chandra Rawat was found dead in his house on Sunday by the police with his throat slit. While a fallout with some old rivals was suspected to have led to the crime initially, a probe revealed that the man was killed by his sons, the police said.

In a fit of rage, Awdhesh slit his father’s throat,” DCP South Zone Rahul Raj was quoted as saying by the TOI.
The truth came to light when the investigation officers spotted blood stains at Awadhesh's house and started interrogating the family in detail. It was then the daughter of Ramesh Chandra Rawat broke down and revealed that her siblings committed the crime after a fight in the house.
