Jaipur: In Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, a Class 10 student allegedly ended her life by jumping from the terrace of a three-story apartment building.

Navya Sehgal's body was discovered near the building on Wednesday morning. Police said that the age of the girl is around 15.

Sehgal's phone and sandals were retrieved from the roof by police. On the spot, an FSL team was also called, news agency IANS reported.

Sodala police station Circle Inspector Satpal stated that it has come to light that her elder brother advised her to turn off her phone and sleep at about 1.30 am.

The brother then went to his room. Navya's father was likewise sound asleep in his room. Navya is thought to have afterwards climbed to the roof late at night and allegedly leapt from there.

People in the area discovered the girl's body at 6 a.m. and notified the family and authorities. The family lived on the second story of the building in an apartment. Navya attended Delhi Public School. Vinay Sehgal, her father, works as a manager at Ford. Navya's father and brother were sleeping in the house when her body was discovered in the morning, IANS reported.

According to police sources, the officers were checking Navya's room. However, the cops have yet to discover a specific cause for the extreme action. The family was taken aback and stated they had no idea why.
