It is no surprise that celebs let their guard down whenever they arrive on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan. The chat show, not just grabs eyeballs for celebs spilling beans on various controversial aspects of their lives, but it also provides a generous dose of entertainment to the viewers. In a throwback episode, a feud broke out between Bipasha Basu and Ameesha Patel over the film Jism.
Their public fight became a huge controversy in Bollywood and their war of words made headlines regularly. In an old interview, Ameesha had gone on record and said that she would've never done a film like Jism because her grandmother wouldn't approve of it.
Jism, which was released in 2003, had Bipasha as the lead alongside John Abraham. The film was directed by Amit Saxena and was produced by Pooja Bhatt and Sujit Kumar Singh. It was considered to be an erotic thriller for the Indian audience and had been a huge hit at the box office. The movie also turned out to be one of the most highlighting roles of Bipasha's career.
Reacting to Ameesha's remark, Bipasha Basu told KJo back in 2005 that she didn't feel Ameesha had the "physical attributes" to pull off Jism.
She had said on Koffee With Karan, "Ameesha doesn't have the physical attributes to carry out a Jism, to be very honest. You need a woman, a full package for the role. She's too petite, too small. Her whole is wrong, she would not fit a Jism."
In the same episode, KJo asked Lara Dutta about Ameesha commenting on her and John Abraham's bond. Lara reacted by saying, "It's not very nice to hear about it. This person doesn't figure very much in your private life. To me, she's just another co-star, but on the other hand I think she's upset with her personal life. And when there's discord you need some way to take it out."
