Additionally, he announced 'I'm Kanhaiya Lal' and 'I'm Nupur Sharma Supporter' campaigns.
"...the blood is boiling, the Hindu society is outraged, they have not just killed Kanhaiya Lal but are killing Hindu society and provoking it....this is too much, the central government must intervene as they have threatened PM Modi too, and should ensure that those behind the incident are hanged," stated Mutalik.
From Thursday, 'Yuva Brigade' along with 'Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti' and other Hindu organisations will launch a large campaign called 'I'm Kanhaiya Lal', 'I'm Nupur Sharma Supporter'.
Two men with a cleaver murdered Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor, in Rajasthan's Udaipur on Tuesday. The brutal killing drew widespread condemnation, with the killers claiming in online videos that they were avenging an insult to Islam.
The duo arrested for the murder are Riaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad.
A video clip showed Akhtari claiming that they had beheaded the man and threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The attackers also indirectly referred to Nupur Sharma, the BJP leader who was suspended from the party for making a controversial remark on Prophet Mohammed.
Notably, Kanhaiya Lal was arrested recently by the local police over some remarks he posted on social media.
Several Karnataka BJP leaders and ministers condemned the killing and called for harsher punishment for the killers. Senior state BJP leader and MLA KS Eshwarappa has called for the enactment of new laws to impose the death penalty on those "involved in anti-national activities".
Araga Jnanendra, the Home Minister of Karnataka, referred to the killing as barbaric and inhuman, and demanded that those involved be punished to the fullest extent.
