Kiccha Sudeepa issues clarification after Ajay Devgn slams him for 'Hindi' remark, latter then says 'something was lost in translation'

Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeepa had an interesting remark on Yash’s movie KGF: Chapter 2 being called a Pan-India movie a few days back. Ajay Devgn reacted to his comment and slammed the Eega actor earlier today. The team of Kiccha Sudeepa has now released a statement.

A few days back, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeepa had an interesting remark on Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 being called a Pan-India movie. The Eega actor said that he would like to make a small correction on tagging Yash’s movie a Pan-India film. Kiccha said that "Hindi is no more a national language" and that Bollywood is struggling by "dubbing in Telugu and Tamil".
This remark of Kiccha Sudeepa did not go well with a section of people and they started slamming the actor. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn also reacted to this statement by the Dabbang 3 actor and tweeted in Hindi, “My brother, if according to you Hindi isn't our national language, then why do you dub your films in Hindi? Hindi was, is and will always be our national languae. Jana Gana Mana.”

After Ajay Devgn took a dig at Kiccha Sudeepa for his “Hindi no longer our national language” remark, Sudeep’s team has now released a statement making it clear that “Ajay was not fully aware of the context in which Sudeep made the statement.” The statement further read, “After it was shared with him now he has understood and we want to leave the matter here.”
Ajay has also shared a tweet after the statement came out and wrote, “Hi @KicchaSudeep, You are a friend. thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding. I’ve always thought of the film industry as one. We respect all languages and we expect everyone to respect our language as well. Perhaps, something was lost in translation.”
Kiccha Sudeepa also shared a series of tweets and said that he respects every language and would want this topic to rest. He wrote in a tweet, “Hello @ajaydevgn sir.. the context to why i said tat line is entirely different to the way I guess it has reached you. Probably wil emphasis on why the statement was made when I see you in person. It wasn't to hurt,Provoke or to start any debate. Why would I sir.”
In another tweet, he wrote, “I love and respect every language of our country sir. I would want this topic to rest,,, as I said the line in a totally different context. Mch luv and wshs to you always. Hoping to seeing you soon.”

Talking about Kiccha Sudeepa's remark, the actor stated in Kannada during a press conference, “Someone said that a pan India film was made in Kannada. I'd like to make a small correction. Hindi is no more a national language. They (Bollywood) are doing pan-India films today. They are struggling by dubbing in Telugu and Tamil, but it's (the success) not happening. Today we are making films that are going everywhere.”
Meanwhile, talking about the movie which started all the hullabaloo, KGF Chapter 2 has been doing very good at the box-office. Featuring Yash in the lead role, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt playing the role of the lead antagonist Adheera and Raveena Tandon essaying the role of Ramika Sen, Prime Minister of India.
