Turns out the actress has gone all out with her new film and has brought in Oscar and BAFTA winning make-up artist David Malinowski to transform her into the iconic Indira Gandhi in the film.

Kangana Ranaut may not have had delivered hits with her last few films, but there is no stopping the Bollywood actress as she has already dived into her latest project as her director - Emergency. For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut's last release Dhaakad fared terribly at the box office. Despite having a plotline that highlighted a female action hero, replete with some amazing stunt sequences, the film did not drag movie goers to theatres.
However, Kangana, who is known for her never-back-down attitude has already jumped ahead with her latest film as a director with Emergency. Turns out the actress has gone all out with her new film and has brought in Oscar and BAFTA winning make-up artist David Malinowski to transform her into the iconic Indira Gandhi in the film.
For the unversed, David won the award for Film Makeup and Jair at the 2-18 BAFTA Awards and at the 90th Academy Awards, he won the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for his work on the 2017 film Darkest Hour. He has been associated with projects such as Wonder Woman 1984, Bohemian Rhapsody, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald among others.

In a series of images, Kangana welcomed David to the team, writing, "Welcome to the team Emergency @djmalinowski," adding, "Pleasure to have academy award winning artist for character transformation in Emergency." She also shared am image of putting on prosthetics on her face and wrote, "Exciting transformation for my second directorial #Emergency"
Meanwhile, Dhaakad failed to leave an impact on the audience suffering huge losses in terms of box office business. The film collected a lifetime business of Rs 2.58 crore at the ticket windows against an estimated budget of Rs 85 crores.
Following Dhaakad, the actress took to Instagram to share a bunch of pictures wherein she can be seen holidaying in her hometown Manali. Kangana was accompanied by her parents, sister Rangoli and nephew Prithvi in the happy pictures.
