Shah Rukh Khan to star in Madhur Bhandhar's Inspector Ghalib? Director REACTS to reports

Fans of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan are waiting with bated breath to witness his grand comeback on the silver screen after a sabbatical of four years. The actor, who was last seen in Zero, currently has three projects in the pipeline - action thriller Pathaan, Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki and Atlee's Jawan. While reports about him starring in Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 have been around for quite some time now, the makers have not confirmed or denied the news.

And recently, reports suggested that SRK is coming on board for another film. The superstar is reportedly teaming up with director Madhur Bhandarkar for his upcoming action comedy Inspector Ghalib. The Babli Bouncer filmmaker has now reacted to the rumours. Check out what he had to say!

When Madhur was asked about the speculations around the lead in his film Inspector Ghalib, he said that the script of the film is ready but he has not started casting for the project. The director said that he has been busy with Babli Bouncer and India Lockdown and is planning to revisit Inspector Ghalib post the release of these two films

Sharing exciting details about the character, he told Indian Express, "I have two scripts ready, including this. From 2018-2019, I was working on three scripts, but suddenly the lockdown happened. Now I will revisit in the coming year, let me see who my Ghalib will be. He is a very flamboyant, one liner spouting humorous character."

"At the same time, it has a very elaborate action, which adds a different dynamic to the film. It is a completely different shift for me also,” he added.

Earlier, Madhur had expressed a desire to work with SRK. He had said that he would love to team up with him if he has the right script.
