Deepika is more accomplished and more evolved than I am: Ranveer Singh talks about his wife

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is currently being seen in theatres in the comedy drama Jayeshbahi Jordaar. The Divyang Thakkar film sees Ranveer essay the titular role as a person who believes in equal rights between males and females. Early reviews suggest that the film has connected well with the audience.

Ranveer, who has been busy promoting his latest has openly spoken about his film and himself in interviews and public interactions. The actor took the opportunity to share his views on his wife Deepika Padukone as well.

In a recent interaction with Zoom TV, Ranveer opened up on how he sees Deepika as being more than just a flesh and blood entity, claiming that she has a beautiful soul. The Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor went on to add, “I look beyond her gender. When I look upon her, I look upon her spirit and her energy. When I first look at her soul -- What is Deepika? Is she a name, is she a flesh and blood body that she inhabits? I look beyond all of this and recognise her soul. Her soul is beautiful.”

The actor further went on to add, “She (Deepika) is such a special energy. She is so kind and she is so good and a lot of that has to do with the way she has been raised.”

“She is a beautiful spirit and energy. When you add on the layers, person, personality, name -I also recognise that she is more accomplished than I am, she is more evolved person than I am. Throughout her life she has been more independent than I am,” he elaborated.

Ranveer went on to claim that he is taking strides towards that kind of evolution and independence, but recognizes that his wife is already there.
