Bihar Cabinet Expansion 2022: Take a look at top portfolios of Nitish Kumar's new masterplan for development

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Tuesday, expanded his two-member cabinet, inducting 31 members from various parties of the 'Mahagathbandhan' or the Grand Alliance. Among the 31 ministers who took the oath, 16 were from RJD, 11 from Kumar's JD(U), two from Congress, one from ex-CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and one Independent.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Tuesday, expanded his two-member cabinet, inducting 31 members from various parties of the 'Mahagathbandhan' or the Grand Alliance.
Among the 31 ministers who took the oath, 16 were from RJD, 11 from Kumar's JD(U), two from Congress, one from ex-CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and one Independent.
While the lion’s share was given to the RJD. The Chief Minister reimposed faith in his ministers from the earlier government, retaining most of their departments as well. The exception was education, which went to the RJD. The JD(U) kept home, finance, vigilance, and rural affairs while the RJD got health, revenue, environment and road construction which are all considered plum portfolios.
